Torre del Moro, Torrevieja is located on Cape Cervera, about five kilometers from the center of Torrevieja on the coastal road towards La Mata and about one hundred meters from the coast.
The Parque de la Torre del Moro is located to the north of Torrevieja, almost at La Mata, and the main feature of this small park is the tower from which it gets its name.It is a coastal watchtower built on a hill above Cape Cervera. The tower is signified in the Torrevieja coat of arms. The origin of this system of towers is not exactly dated, but it is known that in 1312 James II authorized the Consell of Orihuela to build a watchtower on Cape Cervera as a defense tower, where fires were lit by the guards to alert the town.
This small park offers great views across the Mediterranean Sea, and has a number of small features, such as play and exercise facilities
Playa Cabo Cervera is a blue flag beach on the outskirts of Torrevieja city and belongs to a group of small coves ideal for fishing. The water is very calm and ideal for bathing. There is also a promenade where you can sit and watch the sunset and access to the cove for the disabled.Easy to get to on foot with ample parking-all the accesses are signposted.
What makes this beach unique is that it has small rocky coves where you can spend hours with your head in the water, breathing through your snorkel as you gaze at the fish.
Cabo Cervera is interesting as different theories suggest that it could have been the site of the very first settlement in Torrevieja.
